Previous PvE Experience:
Ny’alotha 12/12M
EP 7/8M
(took a long break)
Nighthold 7/10M
Emerald Nightmare 7/7M
prior to this I was mainly in heroic only guilds. Have been raiding on/off since ICC.History of Previous Guilds:
I am currently a member of Prime (blue team) on defias brotherhood. I have been in the team for over 18 months, one of the longest standing members. With that group we achieved cutting edge last tier, and 7/8 in EP (after a lot of roster trouble).
Before that the last raiding guild I was in was Tactical Magic, also on defias, where I raided from BRF until quitting in ToS. I was an officer in this team during legion.
I couldnt even tell you the names of the teams I was in prior to this, but raided casually since Wrath. Why did you leave them?:
I have not left my current team yet but am looking to explore my options. There has been quite a lot of roster turnover recently, and the team is quite different to the one I joined. Additionally, I feel like the team in general has underperformed this tier, and I would like to push myself to achieve better results, and I have started to question to what capacity I can do that in my current raid team. I have the utmost respect for them but sometimes a change of scenery is necessary.
My previous guild (Tactical Magic) struggled to get numbers to get into ToS mythic and ended up disbanding. How did you find out about Violent Circus?:
As a long time member of Defias Brotherhood, I have always been aware Violent Circus as one of the higher ranking guilds on the server. I contacted Xethys today to check what your stance towards recruiting a disc priest was, and decided to apply. Why do you think this guild is fit for you and what are your expectations from us?:
I feel like the guild is as serious about killing bosses as I am. I like the fact that the core of the guild has been together for a long time, as I want something reliable. I feel that a 2 day raid team may be more suitable for me (especially if covid restrictions start winding down), although I understand at times you flex to 3 days, which I am happy to do. My expectations for the guild are the same expectations I have for myself, to maximise your gear, to keep up to date with your class changes to maximise your hps/dps, to use logs to analyse and compare your gameplay (not just for parses) and to have done your research on bosses before raid time. I don’t expect to not make mistakes, but I expect to learn from them and not make the same mistakes multiple times. What can you bring to the team?:
I feel that I am a really good disc priest. It is a spec I am new to in the scheme of things, only picking it up when we got onto Mythic Hungering Destroyer, as it was a need for our team. I went from not even having my talents set to playing it at a high level in less than a day. It took me a while to get used to the whole ramping/spirit shell gameplay, and to be able to play and do mechanics during that period, but it soon became natural. Disc is a vital part of most raid teams, even after the nerf, as the absorption style healing is so unique & useful.
In addition to the usefulness of my spec, I feel like I am a really good addition to any raid team. I can be vocal when I need to be, I am a constructive contributor to tactics & decisions (when necessary). I am consistent in my gameplay, have a positive outlook, and have no interest in letting wipes tilt me. I can have fun in discord, but not at the expense of progress.
I am fluent in all three priest specs, having progressed on and killed mythic bosses with all three, and went from shadow mainspec in Ny’alotha, to Holy on N’zoth progress, back to shadow, then eventually to disc. I am happy to play all three, whatever the team needs, but I feel my skill lies with healing, specifically disc.Availability(How often are you available, etc.):
I am available most evenings, and am happy to commit to raid 2-3 times a week. My attendance has always been very good in raiding guilds.Anything else you would like to add?:
I understand you are looking to recruit a disc priest for next tier, & with your team (i guess) extending on Sire it is unlikely I will see mythic action for a little while, but I am willing to wait to prove my worth :) Thanks for your consideration! -
